Dholera becomes a new node in India’s import-export chain, expected to enhance trade facilitation and industrial growth in the region.

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has officially designated Dholera in Gujarat as an authorized customs location for the unloading of imported goods and loading of export goods. This move comes under Notification No. 25/2025 dated April 15, 2025, issued in exercise of powers under Section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962.

The notification amends the earlier Government of India Notification No. 61/94-Customs (N.T.) dated November 21, 1994, adding Dholera as a recognized point for customs operations. The designation is expected to significantly boost trade, streamline logistics, and enhance industrial growth in the Dholera region.
