1. International Air Cargo Operations in Phase 1
The Dholera International Airport Company Limited (DIACL) has announced that the airport will initially focus on international cargo operations through freighter flights. This will significantly enhance global trade connectivity for industries in Gujarat and beyond.
2. Improved Connectivity with Ahmedabad & Gujarat
To support seamless logistics and passenger movement, a greenfield expressway connecting Ahmedabad to Dholera Airport is in its advanced construction stage. Once completed, the expressway will cut travel time and facilitate efficient transportation for businesses.
3. Tenders Open for Cargo & Ground Handling Services
DIACL has invited tenders for the operation and management of the international cargo terminal and ground handling services for a 7-year period. Bids will be opened in March 2025, ensuring smooth execution of cargo operations.

The airport will feature a modern air cargo terminal spanning 10,700 sqm, including:
