Dholera Airport is now a recognized customs port and will begin international cargo operations by July 2025, boosting Gujarat’s trade.
In a major boost to Gujarat’s trade infrastructure, the Ministry of Finance, through the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), has officially recognized Dholera Airport as a customs port. As per the notification, Dholera is now authorized for unloading of imported goods and loading of export goods.
This recognition paves the way for Dholera Airport to commence international air cargo operations by June or July 2025, utilizing both freighter and passenger aircraft. The move is expected to enhance logistics connectivity and position Dholera as a key hub for global trade in Western India.
